How Our Comparisons Work

Processing Score Comparison

We calculate processing scores (1-32+) based on ingredient count, types of additives, and processing methods. Lower scores indicate less industrial processing. Products are classified into 4 levels: Minimally Processed, Processed, Highly Processed, and Ultra-Processed.

Nutrition Score Comparison

Nutrition scores (0-10) evaluate beneficial nutrients like protein and fiber versus nutrients to limit like added sugars, sodium, and saturated fat. Higher scores indicate better nutritional quality.

Ingredient Analysis

We break down ingredient lists to show unique and common ingredients between products. This helps you understand formulation differences and identify specific additives or ingredients you may want to avoid.

Educational Purpose

Our comparisons provide educational information only. Individual dietary needs vary, and what works for one person may not work for another. Consider your personal health goals, dietary restrictions, and preferences when making food choices.
